Great Ruts! (2010-07-15) : 5/5
I've played these sticks on stage and they work great. However, make sure you're ready for them. If you're too much of a hard hitter and aren't used to being a soft player, these can last you probably a couple months. Maybe less. This is more-so for players who know how to use them!br /br /But if you know how to properly use them, you've got a great buy!
Husband loves them and so do our eardrums (2009-07-11) : 5/5
Wasn't sure if this would be a great gift for my husband, the aspiring drummer, but he loves them, and we do too! It's nice that he can play like he wants and not be as loud. He uses them all the time and says they are wonderful. Great gift for the drummer in your life.
Great Stick! (2009-05-22) : 5/5
Awesome product, very handy and light. Creates a different softer sound, especially nice if you play too loud with your usual stick. Will feel slightly powerless when using this stick but it is awesome for playing in church. Before you start using it, you better tighten the end part of the stick with a rubber band so it doesn't spoil easily.
i like them (2008-08-22) : 4/5
i have not tried several brands/models of bundled sticks. this review will help someone thinking about trying bundles sticks for the first time. if bundles sticks are your thing...well i'm not an aficionado.br /br /these "sticks" are both longer and heavier then most traditional solid sticks. they are wider to grip (which i like) so you can use more of your hand. br /br /they don't rebound nearly as well as solid sticks. this has a few effects. br /br /1) you can't do rolls as well. br /2) because they take their time getting off the head (dampening resonance)they are quieter. much quieter then solid sticks. this is why most people get them i think.br /3) the stick attack is much more pronounced then with solid sticks.br /br /they are also not nearly as durable as solids sticks. after enough rim shots and crashes the dowels break one by one. so if you are a heavy hitter bring extras. however, since most people are trying to take down the volume with these and hitting light, this is less of an issue.br /br /even though they break easy, are less nimble, and cost more i still have to have a pair in my stick bag. they feel and sound very different then reg sticks. they are a good way to bring down volume without hitting softly. on some material i like the way they sound better then sticks.br /
